So I got Ashanti’s album The Declaration and I listened to it last night. I must admit I’m not really pro Ashanti but in her defence she has a great album. I know a lot of people are saying this album is going to be the flop of the year, which is a shame because to every one’s unexpectancy its an OK album. I have heard some say this is her best album yet, hell they may even be right. I’m loving the new vibe. Its just a shame that this album has been online for about a week now so everyone and there mom has already downloaded it which is gonna be a bummer for album sales. I was skeptical and didn’t even want to download it after hearing that call my number babe track (or whatever the title was) but although I wont say “Oh my god this album is so great!” I will say do buy it and give it a listen you will be surprised. In honesty I think she could have done with a tune up throughout the years of her absence as on some songs it does sound a little harsh and squealed however I applaud Ashanti because the album has many single potentials and all should be well.
Its strange because I have a funny vibe when it comes to Ashanti, keep it real she is not Beyonce, or one of the best singers for that but she has this strange formula and its like even though shes not one of the best she is always able to flip it on us and produce a great track. Whether it is the melody combined with the beat I don’t know but she keeps it coming!. Plus in these last few weeks she has looked great. Her album cover is Amazing and she is working it. When she first resurfaced I’m not gonna lie I was mad, you know I love people looking there best and all I kept thinking was,
“How are you gonna come back out after so long looking the same with extra pounds.”
She should have came back and shut the place down! Looking totally transformed and ready to go. But like I said these last few weeks she has flipped it on us so Well Done Ashanti. I hope the album does well. Whoever it is in your camp leaking your full album needs to be sacked! I give this album 3 and a 1/2 Kissez go and buy this album tomorrow.
