Blag Yourself That 1st Class Seat

By Queen B. D.. Posted in Lets Talk | No Comments »

So with university drawing to an end for the year, and the roller coaster ride I have already had to the start of this year, it would be accurate in me saying I am due for my holiday! That’s right here I come for my shopping, indulging and revitalisation. But let’s not stop there, what about the overall experience every BabyDoll should travel in first class at least once in a while if not at all times. However, I understand that not everybody has it like that , and when there is a will there is a way and best believe there are ways and means to doing everything. If you can afford to splurge, book that first class seat, it’s not like you don’t deserve it. Not everyone wants to be sitting in the carriage with someone snoring loud, the sneezing passenger a few rows down or the crying baby at the back. However, the art of being a BabyDoll is being clever with your money so if you don’t have it like that don’t purchase a first class flight to be sitting in here looking broke because you have blown your earnings. Be sensible!

So you ask, Queen.B.D. How do I get myself into first class? And I say, BabyDolls its simple there are few strict rules you should follow, in order for you to blag yourself that first class seat.

1. Arrive early! The later you leave it the less chance you will have an available seat. I’ve heard many people say it’s best to arrive as late as possible so they have to bump you to first class but as far as im concerned this is a dumb move more like more chance for them to tell you, you have to take a later flight because they don’t have to bump you anything.

2. Travel alone , they are not going to give you, Krista, Charmaine and Tammy an upgrade, either meet your friends at your destination or ride with your friends for a change :-)

3. Dress the part! Your trying to be up in first class the least you can do is look the part . Contrary to belief not everyone in first class is all glammed out with wide sunglasses and bling, they look more casual and ready for a flight, dress smart, dress tidy look be confident and pleasant.

4. Your attitude, or should I say lack of it. Be nice, be confident and confidently ask for your upgrade. Notice I say your upgrade . It’s not rocket science; the worst they can say is there are no more available. However be discreet about it (*not in a shady way) If your talking at the top of your voice, and bragging that you just got an upgrade then guess what, everyone else is going to want one. So keep it on the low. Don’t make them feel like they have made a mistake. When you get it say thanks be nice and enjoy your flight . Oh and always be nice to the gate attendant, they have a lot of power to you know ;-)
