Its time to start trotting to them designer sample sales and fighting for them rails. Designersales.co.uk are fast approaching another upcoming Sample Sale on the 13th June so make a note in your diaries ladies and gents. This time there in Brighton so get down there and get shopping, DesignerSales’s, sample sales (just to name one) always have a mixture of Stella Mccartney , Missoni, Diesel, Betty Jackson, Dolce and Gabbana, PPQ (Which I just Love! Cause I love there dresses and style), Vivienne Westwood, Moschino, Alexander McQueen, Religion, Jean-Paul Gaultier just to name a few and many many more. It is well worth a rummage.

So what is a Sample sale you may ask, I’m not insulting your knowledge just informing you if your unsure. Well at a sample sale you get designer goods for Discount prices and when I say discount I mean Discount. They are normally one offs, sample goods to test the market, ex catwalk stuff and so on. It is normally invite only so its important to register on a mailing list. Most sample sales (due to the nature of the goods) don’t allow you to take bags, coats and huge accessories in the hall with you in case of people with sticky fingers so you have to leave them in ticket operated cloak room. Sample Shopping is a great way to add to your collections. You will find you build your wardrobe with fabulous designer ones cuts without breaking the bank. SampleSales are also a no.1 spot for stylists, fashion editors, fashion students, and others selected. You never know who you will meet there, but to be honest with all them designer goods in one room you will not wanna loose focus lol. With the ever growing epidemic of shoppaholics (and yes I admit that I am one) I thought I would do a good deed and allow us to confide together. I am sure everyone loves to shop but when does shopping become an obsession and would you say it is healthy. I know us ladies like to use the excuse retail therapy (well I do anyway) but when does therapy become addiction. Although people shop to make themselves feel better, the emotional attachments can also sometimes be dangerous. For example when I am sad I shop, when im happy I shop, etc etc. However I have no children & no major commitments, no credit cards (except a pre-paid one) I make good money, I save so therefore I kind of feel saved from the monster of debt.

However, I know no one is untouchable! Plus I live, work and go to uni in the city so I constantly find my self buying things on the way home which is a dangerous habit to develop. I’m not sure about in the US but in the UK many people are feeling the crunch with the constant changes to the economy and more and more people are in debt. With constant programmes like Shopaholics & Spendaholics always on TV people are no longer even scared of being the in debt its just becoming the norm and this is where the problem lies. According to my friend and her debt “f%$* it life’s to short if it gets bad ill just go on Spendaholics or something and make them deal with it”

??????????? What, come again? I could not believe it, This is the wrong attitude to have. You have to think about the future and the consequences that may not be present at this moment. I hope not all think like this please do not end up in that state of mind. Below is some tips, to help you stay fab but shop wise:

1. Always pay by cash, if you have a card don’t use it.
2. Make a shopping list and stick to it…..well try to anyway
3. Save first then shop, I apologise that should have been first
4. Avoid shopping from catalogs, always pay upfront and whole and never in installments
5. Also lose the big pride who-har if you cant afford something you cant afford it put it down until you can. “Money is nothing for he who cant save“. Remember that! Because if you dont save its no good having it cause soon it will be gone.
