Release Your Past to Embrace Your Future

By Queen B. D.. Posted in Lets Talk | 2 Comments »

It is often hard to move into a new chapter in your life when the previous is still ‘To be Continued’ In order for us to move forward and fully receive life’s bountiful rewards in return we have to let go. Let go of what? you may say, well my response to that is: You tell me?

What is it that you still waste your energy on? You have to release because no matter how bad or how good your life is there is still much more out there for you and why? Because you are a living being who deserves more. You don’t need no explanations!

All you have to do is want more for yourself and it will come. When you find yourself still angry, hurt, annoyed or bothered by someone or something then guess what? They have won! yep, they have the power. This is because whether they realise it or not you still remain to be affected by them.

Making sure we are constantly reviewing ourselves is important to make sure we are not carrying any unnecessary emotional baggage of any kind.

It may be something small like not talking to someone because of something. It may be the promotion you feel you are overdue for. It may even be something major like past neglect or abuse. Whatever it is that is sucking the energy you need for your next chapter you have to release it.

We waste time by living in the past constantly thinking of unnecessary things. Whats done is done. It’s spilt milk move on. Release your past and be happy. Whether good or bad everything thus far has made you into the person you are. Don’t hold on to negative things de-stress and let go. Damn if it is that bad go to counselling don’t be ashamed. Do whatever you need to do to prepare you for your future.

Don’t be disillusioned it is not only negative pulls from the past that can bring you to a hault. Dwelling on past victories and achievements can also be risky. Why? Because its old news all that remembering isn’t bringing you closer to anything new. Its already happened and you are missing what is happening. You have to live in the moment and keep moving

Release your past to embrace your future!

Are YOU Most Productive?

By Queen B. D.. Posted in Lets Talk, Pearls of Wisdom | 2 Comments »

Meditate

Two things more valuable than money in this day and age is Time and more Time. People are always complaining of not having enough time. being in a rush and so forth. Time is money, so what can you do to make your day most productive?

Start you day of right!

How do you start your day off? You do know that the beginning could be the end so start it off right. Ever had a bad morning and its followed its way through? Well that’s what I mean. I normally start my day off with meditation lets keep it fresh, I don’t sit with candles and incense burning chanting “hum rey yum” I don’t have time for that I just take 5-10 minutes in silence just to be still and think, sometimes I think of tasks I wish to complete and then I take time to show gratitude. I actually find when I don’t do this, the rest of the day I’m running around like an unorganised headless chicken. Most of us really underestimate the power of just sitting and being still for a while. Being still really helps to clear your thoughts……

So ….Book a date with yourself!

Regardless of the time of the day, have 10-20 minutes just to sit and think, if you want to jot down notes of things you have to do then do that. This will help you to focus, you will have time to concentrate and remember all tasks you wish to complete and ways in which to do so. Therefore in action you will be most productive, already having run through your tasks.

Everyone has a peek time within there day. You know a time where you find your self most active, most enthusiastic etc. Are you a morning person? An afternoon person? An evening person? Which ever you identify with, do your most important tasks within this period while you are switched on and ready to go. Doing them at your peek points and not your tedeious will make the most difficult tasks easier to bear.

Cancel Interruptions!

This especially applies to those that work at home, if you have been working all day (whether office or home) have a small gateway period where the phone is plugged out mobiles switched off do not check your email just chill. Break off for a moment and do you. Avoid prolonging this for too long (you don’t want people to be worry about you lol.)

Most of all Have a Purpose for your day

Try to get something from each day. Make sure you do one great thing each day no matter how big or small just great.

Lastly….Laugh!

Have fun with your day keep it funky. Be realistic stuff happens and the slightest thing can put a damper on your day but you are the only one in control of your emotions, so regardless of the exterior impacts or people around you make sure your smiling keep your spirits up and things will turn out fine. Things never seem so bad when your smiling and when your having fun the day goes quicker. Ask yourself do you see your glass half empty or Half full ;-)

See I started with asking what can you do to make your day most productive, but what you have to understand is in order to be most productive your personal self awareness and well-being has to be in check. So when asking about being most productive its really about self management rather than task management. As long as your head is clear, you will find most other things in life follow through.

I hope this helps. QueenB.D

Would you say your Obsessed???

By Queen B. D.. Posted in Lets Talk | No Comments »

Shoe&Money

With the ever growing epidemic of shoppaholics (and yes I admit that I am one) I thought I would do a good deed and allow us to confide together. I am sure everyone loves to shop but when does shopping become an obsession and would you say it is healthy. I know us ladies like to use the excuse retail therapy (well I do anyway) but when does therapy become addiction. Although people shop to make themselves feel better, the emotional attachments can also sometimes be dangerous. For example when I am sad I shop, when im happy I shop, etc etc. However I have no children & no major commitments, no credit cards (except a pre-paid one) I make good money, I save so therefore I kind of feel saved from the monster of debt.

However, I know no one is untouchable! Plus I live, work and go to uni in the city so I constantly find my self buying things on the way home which is a dangerous habit to develop. I’m not sure about in the US but in the UK many people are feeling the crunch with the constant changes to the economy and more and more people are in debt. With constant programmes like Shopaholics & Spendaholics always on TV people are no longer even scared of being the in debt its just becoming the norm and this is where the problem lies. According to my friend and her debt “f%$* it life’s to short if it gets bad ill just go on Spendaholics or something and make them deal with it”

??????????? What, come again? I could not believe it, This is the wrong attitude to have. You have to think about the future and the consequences that may not be present at this moment. I hope not all think like this please do not end up in that state of mind. Below is some tips, to help you stay fab but shop wise:

  1. Always pay by cash, if you have a card don’t use it.
  2. Make a shopping list and stick to it…..well try to anyway
  3. Save first then shop, I apologise that should have been first
  4. Avoid shopping from catalogs, always pay upfront and whole and never in installments
  5. Also lose the big pride who-har if you cant afford something you cant afford it put it down until you can. “Money is nothing for he who cant save“. Remember that! Because if you dont save its no good having it cause soon it will be gone.

I hope this helps QueenB.D xoxoxo

HAS it been a New Year New You?

By Queen B. D.. Posted in Pearls of Wisdom | No Comments »

Growth

BabyDolls we are now approaching our 6th month of the year, so you may as well call it mid year, what changes have we made so far that are different from those of before? What were the resolutions that you set on the 1st of January have you accomplished what you had hoped to accomplish? BabyDolls you have to be at the top of your game, there is only one person in control of your well-being and that is you so make sure your doing what your suppose to, do not keep putting things off because like the saying says: “you will put it all til tomorrow…too late“. There must have been a reason why you joined that gym, you paid all that money and have only been once!! You better pack your gym bag for tomorrow and get stepping! Or did you plan to be more healthy this year, remember a healthy heart is a healthy start, put the phone down no takeout for you tonight!

The point I am trying to make is stay on track! I know there are many twist and turns in life that steer you from where you want to go but it is up to you to shout timeout, re-evaluate and get it together. What ever you resolutions were whether large or small its not too late you still have another 6 whole months. Just do not forget about them completely.

I am sorry for ranting if you have stuck to your goals whether stopped smoking, saved for your holiday, gone back to education whatever I applaud you well done go and have a glass of rosé and be fabulous lol

But for those who have slipped alittle it is OK at least you have been reminded. Get back on track and be the best you can be. Life is about regenerating yourself constantly. However if you didn’t bother to set any resolutions this year why not set a few goals. Don’t feel strained you haven’t got to write an essay just a few lines occupying a few minutes stating short, medium and long term goals and see if you can strive to achieve them all.

BabyDolls believe me there is nothing better than ticking off a goal you have achieved and feeling you are closer to where you should be, I hope my words have helped

Do You Love Yourself?

By Queen B. D.. Posted in Pearls of Wisdom | No Comments »

Ladies ask yourself a question and be true with your answer. Do you really love yourself? Do you appreciate your whole being? From listening to women I have come to notice that maybe we don’t love ourselves the way that we really should. Well I love myself but even a Queen has her down days. It really bugs me to see ladies searching for love in other places and getting burned. Always remember “For anyone to love you, you must love yourself”. Even if you wholehearted believe you love yourself still go to your mirror look at yourself and say Damn I’m Beautiful” and believe it because you are. Everything you are makes you, you, flaws and all. Have you time take at least 10 minutes out of your day just for you to either listen to music, chill, read or just be still.
